It is with the deepest sadness that members of Aberconwy Conservative Association heard of the death long time Patron’s Club member, Tony Gorst.

Welsh Conservative local government candidates Sam Cotton, Arthur James and Beverley James were joined by local MP Guto Bebb whilst canvassing in Llanrhos.

Conwy 2020 recently held an exceptionally successful fundraiser, An Evening with Edwina.  Those invited to the event were treated to a three course dinner at Bodnant Welsh Food Centre’s Hayloft Restaurant, followed by a question and answer session with Edwina.

Simon Hillman selected to contest Penrhyn.

Simon Hillman has been selected as one of the Welsh Conservative candidates to contest Penrhyn along Mark Pavey.

Simon was born to a British vicar in South Africa but grew up in Stoke on Trent and Leicestershire. He gained a PhD in Engineering from King’s College London and then worked as a post-production engineer before moving to Penrhyn Bay in 2014. He has long held connections with the area with both his grandparents and then his parents having previously lived in their current home since it was built in the 1950’s.

Mike Williams selected to contest Mostyn.

Llandudno Town councillor Mike Williams has been selected as one of the two Welsh Conservative candidates for Mostyn.

Mike will contest the two seats, along with Greg Robbins, on 4 May 2017

Mark Pavey selected for Penrhyn.

Local campaigner Mark Pavey has been selected as one of the Welsh Conservative candidates for Penrhyn. Mark will contest the ward at local government elections on 4 May 2017.

Aberconwy AM Janet Finch-Saunders commented, “Congratulation to Mark Pavey on his appointment as a Welsh Conservative candidate in Penrhyn Bay for the forthcoming local government elections in May.”

She continued, “Mark is a very nice young man and exactly what we need on our local authority…

Louise Emery selected for Gogarth Ward (Llandudno).

Louise Emery has recently been approved and selected to represent the Gogarth Ward in the elections in May for a County Council seat.  Louise joins Cllr. Harry Saville who is already well known within the ward as an approachable and hard working councillor.

In May 2017, there will be elections for Town/Community and County Councillors across the whole of Conwy Borough Council.  Aberconwy Conservatives are looking for candidates to stand in all parts of the Constituency.
