Guto’s post budget speech – 21st March 2013

Guto Bebb (Aberconwy) (Con): It is a pleasure to follow the hon. Member for Worsley and Eccles South (Barbara Keeley), but I think that her speech was representative of those we have heard from Labour Members today: there was no effort to explain the context; not a single acknowledgement of the problems the Labour party left this Government; no mention of the fact that there is a crisis in the eurozone; no mention of the fact that the IMF has indicated that UK levels of growth will be higher than those of Germany and France; and no mention of the fact that we are facing an international energy crisis—there was no mention of reality.

Guto returns to Parliament

Arriving back in Parliament I had a briefing meeting on Monday for the Welsh Affairs Select Committee visit to Brussels to continue our enquiry into Inward Investment and Energy Policy. I then attended an event addressed by the ex Spanish Prime Minister THE HON. JOSE MARIA AZNAR concerning the Israeli Palestinian Peace Process.
